Asymptotics of the phase of the solutions of the random Schrödinger equation

چکیده
We consider solutions of the Schrödinger equation with a weak time-dependent random potential. It is shown that when the two-point correlation function of the potential is rapidly decaying then the Fourier transform ζ̂ε(t, ξ) of the appropriately scaled solution converges point-wise in ξ to a deterministic limit, exponentially decaying in time. On the other hand, when the two-point correlation function decays slowly, we show that the limit of ζ̂ε(t, ξ) has the form ζ̂0(ξ) exp(iBκ(t, ξ)) where Bκ(t, ξ) is a fractional Brownian motion.

Asymptotic Solutions of a Discrete Schrödinger Equation Arising from a Dirac Equation with Random Mass
For a Dirac particle in one dimension with random mass, the time evolution for the average wavefunction is considered. Using the supersymmetric representation of the average Green’s function, we derive a fourth order linear difference equation for the low-energy asymptotics of the average wavefunction. This equation is of Poincaré type, though highly critical and therefore not amenable to stand...

We consider solutions of the Schrödinger equation with a weak time-dependent random potential. It is shown that when the two-point correlation function of the potential is rapidly decaying, then the Fourier transform ζ̂ε(t, ξ) of the appropriately scaled solution converges point-wise in ξ to a stochastic complex Gaussian limit. On the other hand, when the two-point correlation function decays sl...
متن کاملAsymptotic Cost of Cutting Down Random Free Trees
In this work, we calculate the limit distribution of the total cost incurred by splitting a tree selected at random from the set of all finite free trees. This total cost is considered to be an additive functional induced by a toll equal to the square of the size of tree. The main tools used are the recent results connecting the asymptotics of generating functions with the asymptotics of...
متن کاملSMALL-ENERGY ASYMPTOTICS FOR THE SCHRÖDINGER EQUATION ON THE LINE Dedicated to Pierre C. Sabatier on the occasion of his 65th birthday
The one-dimensional Schrödinger equation is considered when the potential is real valued, integrable, and has a finite first moment. The small-energy asymptotics of the logarithmic spatial derivative of the Jost solutions are established. Some consequences of these asymptotics are presented such as the small-energy limits of the scattering coefficients and a simplified characterization of the s...
متن کاملRadiative transport limit for the random Schrödinger equation
We give a detailed mathematical analysis of the radiative transport limit for the average phase space density of solutions of the Schrödinger equation with time dependent random potential. Our derivation is based on the construction of an approximate martingale for the random Wigner distribution.
